Rapidly rising rental rates in the region have forced multiple arts organizations, artists, and other creative professionals to close their doors or look for affordable space elsewhere.

The Art Studios at Old Chicora will have affordable workspaces for a number of local artists. Housing both visual and performance artists, the Studios will contain diverse art mediums with space for artists to collaborate and release their brilliance to drive innovation and impact within the Tri-county region.

Creative placemaking is good for economic growth and promotes a constructive and interesting social environment.
